Cast off loosely.

Add fringe

Approx. 200 yards worsted weight yarn

US #10 knitting needles, double pointed or short circulars Stitch markers
Gauge:
14 sts = 4”/10cm

Abbreviations:

Knit front and back (kfb): knit into front and back loop of the same stitch


Pattern fits size 2T – 3T. Cast on more stitches for larger heads.


Cast on 42 stitches.

Join ends being careful not to twist.

Row 1: Yo, pm, k1, yo, k20, yo, pm, k1, yo, k21

Row 2: Slip marker, k2, p20, k1, slip marker, k2, p20, k1

Row 3: Yo, slip marker, k1, yo, k to marker, yo, slip marker, k1, yo, k to marker

Row 4: Slip marker, k2, p to 1 stitch before marker, k1, slip marker, k2, p to 1 stitch before marker, k1

Row 5: *Yo, slip marker, k1, yo, k10, kfb, k1, kfb, k to marker, repeat from *

Row 6: K all stitches

Row 7: *Yo, slip marker, k1, yo, k11, kfb, k1, kfb, k to marker, repeat from *

Row 8: K all stitches

If you do not wish to add fringe you could knit rows 15 and 16 twice then cast off.
